A right-wing Hindutva mob in Daulatabad, Hathnoor Mandal, ignited a Muslim vendor's shop, causing tensions to rise in Sangareddy just hours after Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated Ram Mandir.

Another incident involved a right-wing Hindutva mob celebrating the opening of the Ram Temple by playing loud music and organising a procession near Kosgi Jama Masjid in Kodangal. This led to uncomfortable situations near the mosque, according to Siasat.

A procession set fire to Abdul Qadeer's fruit-selling stall, according to MBT spokesperson Amjadullah Khan. The incident is said to have occurred after two minors hurled something towards the parade.

A different occurrence in Kodangal is said to have caused disturbance because of the procession's boisterous and violent celebration near the mosque.

Following the parade, the Muslim community in the area staged a protest in which they called for the troublemakers to be put in jail. They yelled demands for justice.

Built on the rubble of the 16th-century Babri mosque, which was destroyed by Hindu mobs in 1992, is the unfinished temple. The attack sparked riots across the country that claimed the lives of about 2,000 people, most of them Muslims.

A legal dispute over who owned the site ensued after the demolition. But in 2019, it was decisively settled when the Supreme Court's verdict granted Hindus it. Muslims received a plot of land outside the city to build a mosque.

Thousands of people attended the event at Ayodhya, including famous actors and cricket players like Sachin Tendulkar, Amitabh Bachchan, and Alia Bhatt.

Before the event, a few Muslims in Ayodhya told the BBC that the day brought back memories of grief and fear for them.

Fearing that tensions would rise when the streets erupted with Hindu pilgrims from all over the nation, several stated they would send their kids out of town.

Recent years have seen the danger of Hindu nationalists against several heritage monuments, mosques in particular.
