The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has initiated an investigation into the Medical and Dental Colleges Admissions Test (MDCAT) 2023 paper leak case and called four officers of the Jinnah Sindh Medical University (JSMU) responsible for conducting the test.
The FIA called them to its cybercrime office and interrogated them. The agency also seized their mobile phones for forensic tests. It has been reported that FIA Cyber Crime Deputy Director Shehbaz Khan called the four officers, Hina Saeed, Sohrab Zaman, Dr Laeeq Ahmed and Anita Shah, to investigate the leak of question paper of the MDCAT that was held by the JSMU.
After the allegations of MDCAT question paper leak emerged, an investigation committee was also established which found the JSMU administration’s involvement in the breach, attributing negligence to the vice chancellor in the handling of the entry test arrangements. Later, the Sindh caretaker chief minister handed over the matter to the FIA for a proper
investigation.
