Wheat support price fixed at Rs 1,300/40kg

PAKPATTAN: Punjab Auqaf Secretary Nayyar Iqbal has said that the district administration and the Punjab Food Department will purchase wheat from farmers at Rs 1,300/40kg.
He said this while addressing a meeting at the DCO Office here on Friday. The secretary directed the district administration and the Punjab Food Department Pakpattan district to achieve purchase target at any cost. He asked the officers concerned to provide bags to farmers for purchasing wheat from Grain Market and purchase centres. ADC Arif Umar Aziz, DFC Qaisar Butt, DIO Syed Salman and others were also present. Meanwhile, ADC Arif Umar Aziz while addressing a meeting said that the Passco Department would purchase wheat from farmers at Rs 1,300/40kg in Pakpattan tehsil to provide relief to them. He asked the district administration to cooperate with the Passco Department to achieve the desired target.
‘Rescue 1122 providing best services’

PAKPATTAN: Rescue 1122 Punjab Director General Dr Arshad Zia has said that the emergency service is providing best services in the province.
He said this while talking to journalists during his visit to the Rescue 1122 district office on Friday. He said that the Punjab government would provide boats and other necessary equipment to Rescue 1122 to provide help to the flood-affected areas. Earlier, Dr Arshad visited the shrines of Hazrat Baba Fareeduddin Masood Ganj Shakar (RA) and Khawaja Aziz Mackey (RA) and offered Salam and Fateha.
