A Karachi-bound flight of a private airline from Islamabad had to land back at the airport soon after departure due to a bird-hit incident.
The flight PA-201 departed from the Islamabad airport at 10:48am on Friday. Soon after the departure, a bird hit the upper side of the windscreen of the Airbus A-320. The pilot alerted the air traffic control of the Islamabad airport about the incident and sought permission for an emergency landing.
The airplane, after a go-around landed back at the airport some 24 minutes after the departure. The engineers after examination of the airplane declared it fit for flying. The flight again departed for Karachi at 12:43pm.
