Hyderabad deputy mayor to approach tribunal on rejection of papers

Hyderabad: Hyderabad Deputy Mayor and District Hyderabad Pakistan Peoples Party President Sagheer Qureshi has announced that he will approach the election tribunal today (Monday) against the rejection of his nomination papers for NA-220 and PS-65.

According to the decision issued by the returning officers of NA-220 and PS-65, Qureshi had not submitted the loan clearance and utility bills from the bank, for which his forms stood rejected.

Talking to The News, the Hyderabad deputy mayor said that he had decided to approach the election tribunal against the ROs’ decision.

He said bills and clearance could not be submitted on December 30 due to bank closing. He expressed the hope that his nomination papers would be approved by the tribunal.
