9th International Mountain Film Festival unveiled with grandeur at PNCA

Islamabad:The 9th International Mountain Film Festival, marking a celebration of International Mountain Day organised by Serena Hotels, through its Adventure Diplomacy initiative, inaugurated.

Distinguished dignitaries, diplomats, and Ambassadors, including representatives from Jordan, Nepal, and the High Commissioner of Kenya, graced the event. The occasion, held at PNCA, attracted a diverse audience, including corporate officials, business community members, and media professionals.

Addressing the gathering, Wajahat Malik, founder of PIMFF, emphasised that the festival extends beyond films, serving as a platform for fostering connections, promoting sustainable practices, and inspiring a collective commitment to preserve natural wonders. PIMFF is set to showcase 21 films, featuring documentaries, shorts, and animations focused on mountain adventure sports, nature, environment, climate change, mountain tourism, and cultures.

Expressing gratitude, Malik commended Serena Hotels for its Sports and Adventure Diplomacy initiatives, lauding their impact on youth empowerment. The festival, scheduled for December 16 and 17, 2023, promises to be a captivating celebration of nature, adventure, and the resilient spirit of those drawn to the world's most magnificent peaks. Serena Hotels' ongoing support for young mountaineers aligns with their Adventure Diplomacy initiative, aiming to foster adventure sports and provide a nurturing environment for the nation’s talented sportspeople. The emphasis remains on raising awareness, providing guidance, and offering training to the youth in mountaineering, with the shared vision of making Pakistan a source of pride on the global stage.
