Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah has directed the chief secretary to conduct a probe into the death of an under-trial prisoner who had died in a cell of the central jail a few days ago.
He took notice of Iftikhar Ahmed’s death and ordered Muhammad Siddique Memon to investigate.
Ahmed was arrested after a police encounter in which he had sustained a bullet injury to his leg.
