PESHAWAR: The panel of Pakhto Adabi Board (PAB) has brought out special edition of its quarterly magazine “Tatara” on the tragic incidents of Army Public School (APS) and Bacha Khan University (BKU).
The magazine was launched at PAB office here, said a communiqué on Sunday.Tatara became the first Pashto monthly magazine to have brought out its special issue on the incidents of APS and BKU, which took hundreds of innocent lives and left many of others seriously injured.
The tragic incidents inspired literati across the country, especially in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Fata, to versify their feelings and emotions so that it could become part of literary history. Dr Fazal Rahim Marwat, vice chancellor Bacha Khan University, urged all the Pakhtuns at the launching ceremony to motivate their sons and daughters to receive education and pursue knowledge with greater zeal than ever before.
He said it was the only way to get rid of the menace of terrorism, militancy, intolerance and extremism.Around 30 poets and writers have expressed their views in the quarterly magazine for January to June. The noted contributors have condemned the brutal militant attacks on educational institutions.
Senior writers including Professor Dawar Khan Daud, Ghazi Sial, Noorul Bashar Naveed, Professor Zubair Hasrat, Dr Fazal Rahim Marwat, Dr Irfan Khattak, Dr Ismail Gohar, Professor Sher Zaman Seemab, Dr Sattar Khan Lowaghari, Professor Khalilur Rahman, Dr Pervez Mahjoor Kheshgi and Zahida Hina have contributed their pieces on various aspects of the APS and BKU incidents.
