ISLAMABAD: In order to modernising travel documentation, the Directorate General Immigration & Passports has unveiled e-passport facility. The e-passport would have 29 latest security features as per global standards, ensuring the utmost security for travellers.
The 36-page E-passport with five-year validity will cost with normal fee: Rs9,000, urgent fee: Rs15,000 while 36-page e-passport with 10-year validity: normal fee: Rs13,000 and urgent fee: Rs22,000.
Additionally, officials have disclosed plans to extend the e-passport service to Pakistani mission offices in Europe, the USA, and other international locations in the near future.
