SUKKUR: The copper coins discovered from Moenjo Daro stupa a couple of days ago are inscribed with an image of the king of the Kushan dynasty.
Archaeologists are of the opinion that the image on the coins seemed to belong to the second century Kushan dynasty. The pot of coins weights more than 5 kg.
Senior Engineer of Archaeology, Ali Haider Gadahi, Curator of Kot Diji Museum, Rohal Amin Ghumro and Assistant Chemist, Rustam Bhutto examined the coins. They said the artefacts are being processed in the laboratory for further examination.
