LAHORE: A 4-day Faculty Orientation Programme organised by Punjab University Human Resources Development Centre (HRDC), for familiarising the new faculty with their institutional and job contexts was concluded amidst high spirits.
On this occasion, PU VC Prof Dr Khalid Mahmood, Director HRDC Prof Dr Kashif Rathore, Director ORIC Prof Dr Shakil Ahmad, Director Institute of Administrative Sciences Prof Dr Yaamina Salman, Associate Professor Dr Shabbir Sarwar from Department of Journalism Studies, Dr Ghalib Ata from IAS and other were present.
In his address, Dr Khalid Mahmood emphasized the need for attitudinal change alongside knowledge and skills development among faculty members at an early career stage. Prof Dr Kashif Rathore highlighted the need for a regular structure and budgetary provision for Continuing Professional Development by HRDC. The session concluded with positive feedback by the program participants and suggestions for strengthening Continuing Professional Development programs by HRDC.
