LAHORE: An important meeting of PLRA was held under the chairmanship of Senior Member Board of Revenue Nabil Javed.
PLRA DG Saira Umar and Secretary Board of Revenue Shafqatullah Mushtaq attended the meeting. Commissioners and DCs of all districts participated in the meeting through a video link. SMBR Nabil Javed reviewed the performance of commissioners and DCs of all districts. In the meeting, e-registration, inheritance, death, rural centres, property revenue collection project and other issues were discussed. PLRA DG gave a briefing to SMBR. The problems and reforms of PLRA were also discussed in the meeting. In the briefing on e-registration, Saira Umar said that across the province the registration process is going on. SMBR Nabil Javed praised the e-registration in Sahiwal and DG Khan districts and issued instructions to speed up the registration process in District Lahore.
SMBR said that ROD would be completely closed after November 30. SMBR commended the performance of Rural Centre Mall and gave instructions to mobilise lumberdar watchmen at local level. He reviewed the digitisation of subjects and said that corruption and abuse of authority would not be tolerated. Strict departmental action will be taken against the officers involved, he added.
