LAHORE: Istehkam-e-Pakistan Party (IPP) Lahore Division president Dr Murad Ras has said that the ideology does not change by changing the party.
‘Our ideology is still the same as it was in PTI. Our ideology is the state of Pakistan and the people and their betterment. We will continue to fight for the same ideology that we brought in PTI in IPP.’
Addressing a press conference here at IPP Lahore Division Secretariat on Sunday, he said that most of the people present here are PTI people who have become part of IPP today. Among them are MPs, Chairman UCs and councillors. ‘I have known all of them for at least 10 years.’ He said that because of the decisions taken in PTI and the situations we went through people were leaving this party. We fought for PTI for three and a half years, after which we got the first success, but Usman Buzdar was imposed on us.
What could be done in three and a half years? He said that the struggle is the same, it does not change by changing the party. Usman Buzdar, who joined the party some time ago, was made the CM, which we do not even know. Because of them, it became very difficult to get work in Punjab.
‘I am talking about elite rather than traction. If Usman Buzdar was Waseem Akram plus, then make him the head of the board of Shaukat Khanum, he will destroy the hospital in a week.’ Buzdar's father was an MPA, yet he could not install electricity, so he should have been arrested. He said that instead of Usman Buzdar, there were many better people who were candidates whose hard work was involved. Buzdar had no idea what to do in which situations. He said that we got an opportunity and the chairman gave Buzdar as a gift. He said that the National Assembly and the Punjab Assembly were dissolved at the behest of the mafia. KP assembly dissolved and all these decisions were wrong. When the government completed two and a half years, I told everything to the chairman. Those who disliked the anarchy were put against the wall. In the end, he said that IPP is the comfort zone for people, that's why everyone is coming to the party.
That's why the involvement on a daily basis is becoming so much that a press conference can be held every day. Preparations for the elections are in full swing, and the whole outline of contesting the elections under the leadership of Jahangir Khan Tareen and Aleem Khan has been made. Victory and defeat belong to Allah, but the effort should be made. We all adhere to the same theory, he concluded.
