Islamabad: Sports is the celebration of the human spirit and youth, it only inspires young minds but also teaches good values and ethics to students. IMCG St. 25 F-6/2 Islamabad celebrated its Annual sports day with great enthusiasm. Director Model Colleges Mr Irfan Ullah was the chief guest on the occasion.
The event started with the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran by Amna Ali from the 9th class and Naat was delivered by Zuneera Bibi from 10th class. After this Ms. Riffat Sultana (HOD Pakistan Studies Department) gave a brief report on the school sports activities and students' achievements. Principal IMCG F-6/2, Professor Aaliyah Durrani in her welcome note thanked all the guests for sparing their time to attend the event. She appreciated the efforts of teaching, non-teaching staff, and students to make the success of the event possible. Sports secretary of the students' council Miss Dua took permission from the chief guest to start the event.
The event opened with a glorious synchronized March past with a contingent of four Houses followed by the college band that leaves viewers speechless. After March passed the students from the junior section presented a beautiful PT show, the students of different houses competed against each other in various sports. The event included Sports like Javelin throw, Race, Relay race, gymnastics, tug of war, and different races. Students from the senior section also showed their physical abilities through martial arts and aerobics. The award ceremony came after all these events, trophies and certificates were awarded to the achievers of the various events.
