LAHORE: An Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) on Monday adjourned till November 11 the hearing of PMLN information secretary Marriyum Aurangzeb’s petition seeking dismissal of provocative speech case against her.
ATC Judge Abher Gul took up the plea for hearing against Marriyum Aurangzeb and others on Monday. The PMLN leader filed an acquittal plea.
The petitioner said that she had no role in talks on TV programme. “I am not responsible for talks on TV programme.” She requested the court to accept her plea and order for her acquittal. The court adjourned the hearing of the case till November 11. A case has been registered against Marriyum Aurangzeb at Green Town Police Station.
Later, talking to the media persons, Marriyum said the people are convinced that only Nawaz Sharif can steer the country out of difficulties. “In order to expel one man in 2017, the development and uplift of the country was expelled. People know all things, she added.”
She said that Nawaz Sharif has talked of giving employment to the youths instead of giving petrol in their hands. She further said the people in large numbers had come to receive Nawaz Sharif, adding that such a large mobilisation had never been seen before in the history of Pakistan.
