Punjab boards announce Matric result

LAHORE: All the nine Boards of Intermediate & Secondary Education (BISE) declared the results of Secondary School Certificate (Matric) 1st Annual Examinations 2023 on Monday.

Special Secretary Higher Education Agha Muhammad Ali Abbas announced the results, in a press conference at the BISE Lahore office, who was flanked by Chairman Lahore Board Dr Mirza Habib Ali and others.

As per the results, around 230,915 candidates participated in Lahore Board exam out of which 172,204 candidates got success thus 74.57 was the pass percentage. Similarly, the pass percentage in other BISEs is Faisalabad 81.76, DG Khan 86.37, Bahawalpur 82.70, Gujranwala 80.82, Multan 85.00, Rawalpindi 77.20, Sahiwal 78.76 and Sargodha 82.82pc.

Daanish Schools result remains 100pc: A whopping 75 percent students of 14 Daanish Schools affiliated with Lahore BISE have scored A+ grade while 17 percent have scored A grades.

According to a press release, overall results for the year 2023 remained 100pc in Daanish Schools. Sidra Shabbir, student of Centre of Excellence DG Khan Girls, scored overall 1st position in DG Khan Board by scoring 1088. As per details, 1,200 students of Daanish Schools appeared in the Lahore Board exam in which 905 students scored A+ and 192 students scored A grades. Daanish School Rahim Yar Khan student Kinza Tariq got 1082 marks and topped the Daanish Schools. Whereas 73 percent students of 12 Centres of Excellence located Punjab scored A+ and A grades.
