MALAKWAL: Unidentified killers strangled an old woman at Garh Qaim in the limits of Miana Gondal police on Sunday night.

Reportedly, Rasoolan Bibi, 50, was sleeping at her house when the killers allegedly strangled her. Miana Gondal police have registered a case on the application of her son Muhammad Ameer.

LOADSHEDDING IRKS CITIZENS: Unscheduled power loadshedding Monday irked students and citizens. Reportedly, the Malakwal Gepco administration suspended power electricity of all feeders of local grid station for four hours without any schedule. The locals and their representatives including Malik Ejazul Haq, Nasim Khan, Sikandar Gondal, Sajid Mughal and others condemned the suspension.

They alleged that the Gepco local administration suspended power supply almost daily to recover line losses and power theft. They said several students of 9th class were facing severe problems due to power suspension, particularly, at night from 8pm to 12pm.

They urged the relevant authorities to look into the matter and took a strict action against the responsible.

Security tightened at park

MALAKWAL: In the wake of the Lahore blast, Assistant Commissioner Asif Raza directed foolproof security at Nawaz Sharif Park.

Reportedly, local administration has postponed several programmes of Jashn-e-Baharan to condemn the Gulshan-e-Park blast incident. Talking to reporters, the AC said that he had directed DSP Rana Muhammad Islam to arrange strict security arrangements around the Nawaz Sharif Park, Malakwal without any delay.
