As many as 13 suspects, including alleged members of the Lyari gang war and drug peddlers, were arrested in raids, said the Kemari police on Thursday.
According to the police, the menwerealso involved in street crimes and extortion cases and 10 TT pistols, three snatched motorcycles,six kilogram of hashish and over 1,000 liters Irani diesel were found on them.
In a press briefing, SP Kemari Zeeshan Shafiq Siddqui said the Mochko police arrested Faisal, Anees, Muhammad Tanveer, Tahir Asif, Ahmed Razaq, Sajid, Arif and Naveed in two raids and seized three motorcycles and weapons from their possession.
He added that Faisal and Anees were allegedly involved in extortion cases and they used to generate funds for the Jabbar group of the Lyari gang war.
In separate raids, the Jackson police arrested Momin Khan, Awal Khan, Adnan, Mushtaq, Essa Khan, Sher Alam, Akber, Ilyas Khan, Muhammad Irsalan Khan and Gul Muhammad.
