Accountability for all: Sanaullah

LAHORE: Punjab Law Minister Rana Sanaullah said on Monday that no one should be treated as sacred cow andaccountabilityshould be across the board.He was talking to media outside the Punjab Assembly.

Sanaullah said that anyone who has committed a crime should be held accountable without any exceptions even if the person is from media, judiciary or military.

He said that General (R) Hamid was stopped fromaccountabilityin Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

He said that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) businessmen were looting the KP. Answering a question about NationalAccountabilityBureau’s (NAB) operation in Punjab, Sanaullah said that these were all rumours and people should not believe it until it comes from the spokesperson for NAB.

Education Minister Rana Mashhood said on this occasion that it was wrong to degrade others in the name ofaccountability. Those who are corrupt should be held accountable but pulling mud over others is not right, he added.

Answering a question about thevideo scandal, the Education Minister said that he had written a letter to the NAB Chairman in which he had mentioned that the video was fabricated. He said that those who were blaming him were also not credible.
