ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has been re-elected President of Pakistan Muslim League-N unopposed as nomination papers of his only rival were rejected.
During scrutiny, nomination papers of other candidate Sardar Prince Baloch were rejected by the Chief Election Commissioner, Chaudhary Jaffar Iqbal.
Other office bearers of PML-N include Raja Zafrul Haq (Chairman), Sartaj Aziz Saranjam Khan, Nawabzada Changez Khan Murri, Sardar Yaqub Khan Nasir, Imdad Hussain Chandio and Sikandar Hayat Khan (Senior Vice Presidents), Senator Pervaiz Rashid (Finance secretary) and Mushahidullah Khan (Secretary Information).
All office bearers were elected unopposed.
The nomination papers were scrutinised today after which the 1950- member General Council elected the central office bearers for four years.
