There are countless irregularities in the National Testing Service (NTS) system that must be rectified. The PTI-led Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government abolished the Educational Testing and Evaluation Agency (ETEA) test system, which was tarnished by political factors, and introduced the NTS system to conduct exams for recruitments in police, forest, wildlife, health and education departments.
However, over the years, the transparency of this system has also been tampered with. News regarding paper leaks and rampant cheating in test centres has started making the rounds. At some centres, candidates were openly using mobile devices. In addition, recently the NTS authority has uploaded wrong answers to the questions asked in the BPS-12 test. This means that the candidates who had written correct answers will be subjected to wrong marking. Some candidates have informed the institution of this mistake. But their efforts have been in vain. The concerned authorities have to look into this matter thoroughly. The future of aspiring candidates is at stake.
