‘BLA member’ held for shrine attack

A suspected member of the banned outfit Baloch Liberation Army was arrested by police on Tuesday for his alleged involvement in an attack on a shrine in Korangi Industrial Area last year.
SSP Korangi Tanveer Alam Odho said the Khokharapar SHO and his team raided a hideout in Lasi Goth and after a shootout, arrested Chuthal Magsi.
His associates, Mir Hazaar Bughti and Bilal Malik, managed to escape. Magsi was found in possession of a pistol and a grenade.
During interrogation, Magsi disclosed that he was affiliated with the BLA and had attacked the Zinda Pir Astana in Mehran Town, Korangi Industrial Area on September 18 last year along with his associates Mir Hazaar Bugti, Bilal Malik, Liaquat alias Raju (killed earlier in an encounter with police), Ali Bohri, Ali Pathan and Lal Badhshah.
Magsi and his associates had also killed three people, Khamisoo Khan, Laiq and Lahoti, in a gun attack. Besides, they were also involved in other attacks in other places in Sindh and Balochistan.
