Nawab Shah and Mehboob Shah ‘lived and died together’
LANDIKOTAL: Tribal Union of Journalists’ Khyber Agency chapter president Mehboob Shah Afridi and Khassadars’ Line Officer Nawab Shah Afridi lived and died together on Tuesday.
Mehboob Shah Afridi, 33, was a close friend of Jamrud Line Officer Nawab Shah Afridi. People considered them brothers as they respected and liked each other very much.Mian Jan Afridi, a fellow journalist in Jamrud tehsil, told this scribe that Mehboob and Nawab had helped many poor and helpless people.
He said that he was very kind to other journalists and had opened an office for them in Karkhano Markets. Mian Jan said that both the slain friends were 33 years old. “It was also amazing that both the ill-fated friends had five children each with three each daughters and two each sons.
Mian Jan said that many times Nawab Shah and Mehboob Shah had paid dues of many poor students in different schools in Khyber Agency. Mehboob Shah Afridi remained president of Tribal Union of Journalists Fata Khyber Agency chapter for three times. He worked with several newspapers.
Mehboob Shah Afridi was also known as social worker and an active member of journalist community. He had arranged many events for martyred journalists.
