Workers scuffle at JUI-F meeting
NOWSHERA: The rival groups of the Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) Nowshera chapter Saturday scuffled during the no confidence move against the party
office-bearers here on Saturday.
Provincial General Secretary of the JUI-F Maulana
Shujaul Mulk and deputy president Maulana Attaul Haq presided over the process.
The ‘dissident’ JUI-F activists chanted slogans and created a chaos on the occasion.
Talking to reporters after the meeting, Maulana Shujaul Mulk, said that the no confidence move against the district president of the party has fizzled out. He said action would be taken against the disgruntled activists for violating the party discipline.
“The basic membership of the delinquent party activist will be cancelled after an inquiry,” he added.
Meanwhile, speaking at a press conference dissident party activist Mufti Hakim Ali Haqqani claimed success of the no confidence move and accused Shujaul Mulk of bypassing the decision of the majority members of the executive committee.
He claimed that 220 out of the total 295 members expressed no confidence in the present district cabinet and thus a fresh election should be organised to elect new office-bearers.
