RTI Commission issues show-cause notice to Haripur varsity
ABBOTTABAD: The Right to Information (RTI) Commission has issued a show- cause notice to the University of Haripur administration over the failure to provide documents under Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (RTI) Act 2013
This show-cause was issued for inability of the university’s administration to produce the relevant documents related to the selection boards and some administrative responsibilities in 1100 million rupees the project.
The application for information was submitted 170 days back but was never entertained.
Before issuing the show-cause notice, the RTI Commission gave ample time to university administration by sending various memos.
The university has not provided the required information about the selection boards held on May 22, 2015, June 11, 2015, August 28-30 as well as the Syndicate meetings held on June 17, 2015 and August 31, 2015 right after the last meeting of selection boards held at the weekend.
