KARACHI: A picnic turned into a tragedy when a 17-year-old boy drowned in a swimming pool at Shamsi Farmhouse on Saturday.
Rizwan, son of Mithal, was rushed to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre, where doctors pronounced him dead on arrival.
Malir Cantt police station Station House Officer Faisal Lateef told The News that a company had arranged a picnic for its employees, and the picnickers had arrived at the farmhouse in the morning. Rizwan, along with some picnickers, went inside the pool in the afternoon, but later his body was found floating.
