PPP to launch protest movement against govt after Eid
ISLAMABAD: Pakistan People’s Party on Thursday decided to adopt aggressive strategy against the federal government and to launch a protest movement inside and outside Parliament after Eid.
PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari chaired a top level party meeting in this regard and issued directions in the meeting. According to sources privy to the meeting, the PPP along with the PTI will launch its protesting movement against the federal government after Eid. The PPP will organise protesting processions and will give sit-ins on the roads.
Bilawal Bhtto consulted party senior leadership and also took into confidence party co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari. The party decided to launch movement instead to solve ToRs issue through parliamentary committee.
The sources said that Bilawal gave green signal to the party leadership to make arrangements. The party workers and Jiaylas from Punjab will be specially motivated and mobilised to come on the roads.
Bilawal also assigned various tasks to senior party leadership. The sources maintained that Asif Zardari endorsed all decisions taken in the meeting. The sources said that PPP would not boycott both houses of Parliament but rather will attend sessions regularly and to give tough time to the government inside the house.
