Three terrorists killed in Swat after police van attacked
MINGORA: Three terrorists were killed in a search operation after an attack on the police patrol van in Tootano Bandai in Kabal tehsil of Swat district, official sources said on Tuesday.
The sources said that three cops sustained injuries when terrorists opened fire on their van in Tootano Bandai in Kabal tehsil when the cops were on a routine patrol.As a result, Assistant Sub-Inspector Rafiullah Khan, Constable Azizur Rehman and Jehangir Khan sustained injuries and were taken to the Saidu Sharif Central Hospital.
After the incident, the police and security forces clamped curfew in the area and launched a door-to-door search.The sources said that three terrorists were killed in the operation whose bodies were taken to the Saidu Sharif Central Hospital. The target killing attacks on the police had increased in recent months in Swat district in which 38 persons, including cops, peace body members and local elders have lost their lives.
