Indian plane goes back to Delhi after emergency landing in Karachi
An Indian airplane on Saturday had to land in emergency at the Karachi airport after the health of a passenger deteriorated.
The fight 6E63 of Indian airline Indigo was going from Delhi to Jeddah when a male passenger’s health deteriorated within the air space of Pakistan.
Initially, the crew supplied him oxygen but it did not help the passenger after which the plane requested the Pakistani authorities to allow it to land in the country due to medical emergency.
After Pakistan approved the request, the pilot changed the direction of the plane towards Karachi and landed at Jinnah International Airport.
Following the landing, a medical team of the Pakistan Aviation Authority visited the plane and provided medical aid to the ailing passenger.
The Indian plane stayed in Karachi for around three hours, after which it took off for Delhi to drop the ailing passenger before going to Jeddah.
