Pakhtun belt ignored in CPEC project, claims ANP
NOWSHERA: Awami National Party (ANP) General Secretary Mian Iftikhar Hussain said on Friday that the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) was a key project but the federal and provincial governments had ignored Pakhtun belts in the scheme.
Speaking at a public gathering in Nowshera Cantonment, he said that PTI chief Imran Khan had wasted his and people’s time in Islamabad sit-in. ANP leaders including Malik Juma Khan, Khushal Khan, Malik Aftab, Ejaz Hussain, and others were also present on the occasion.
Mian Iftikhar said that Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan created mayhem on the Panama Leaks but he himself was the founder of the offshore companies.“Imran Khan always threatens the government with hollow sit-ins and protests,” Mian Iftikhar said, adding that his party’s government in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa did nothing for the people.
Jamaat-i-Islami, PTI and Pakistan People’s Party dissident activists including Abdul Qadus Khan, Anwaruddin Khattak, Iftikhar Paracha, Mumtaz Paracha, Junaid Paracha, Junaid Alam, Fawad Alam, Ibrahim and others announced joining the ANP on the occasion.
