265 more displaced families sent to NWA
MIRANSHAH: As many as 265 more displaced families returned to North Waziristan from Mirzael Camp on Thursday.
According to official statement, these returning families were consisted of 1152 individuals—325 men, 362 women and 465 children.? They were sent to Saidgai village in Ghulam Khan Subdivision, North Waziristan, the statement added.
Due to the miserable living conditions in the makeshift camps, the Temporarily Displaced Persons (TDPs) yearn for their turn to be sent back to their native villages and towns in North Waziristan. However, the return process is slow and summer has arrived to add to their miseries, they complained.
With this pace, the completion of send-back-home process of TDPs by the end of 2016 seems elusive as vowed by the Army Chief General Raheel Sharif. There has been sheer frustration among the displaced tribespeople complaining slow return process and poor performance of Fata Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) and other relevant authorities.
Authorities tasked with the TDPs return process said ? the registration of other villages including Shna Khowara, Tol Khel, Qazi Kot, Quwatkhel, Ser Kot, Arghond, Malkan Killay, Sarband Kai, Loya Spalga, Khushali Tori, Tor Ghardai and Gowa Khel was also in progress.Meanwhile, the returning tribespeople have asked the authorities for basic amenities of life available to them in their native villages.
