Four murderers hanged in Kot Lakhpat jail
LAHORE
Four murderers were hanged to death in the Kot Lakhpat jail on Tuesday morning.
The four convicts identified as Nadim Aslam, son of Mohammad Aslam, Mohammad Ishfaq, son of Mohammad Boota, Mohammad Arif and Shahzad were hanged in the presence of area magistrate and a doctor.
The four had murdered five persons in separate incidents. Nadim, Shahzad and Ishfaq hailed from Sheikhupura and Arif from Dharampura.
All the four convicts were allowed to meet their families last time before execution. Police handed over the bodies to their families.
Train kills man: A 30-year-old man was killed by a train in the Mughalpura area on Tuesday.
Police said that the man, yet to be identified, was crossing rail tracks when he came under the wheels of a moving train, resulting into his instant death. Body was shifted to morgue.
