KARACHI: The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has completed its investigation against former petroleum minister Dr Asim Hussain, a close aide of former president Asif Ali Zardari.
The NAB officials have finalized the reference against Dr Asim and forwarded it to Chairman for approval.
NAB, in its reference, has put five accusations against the former petroleum minister.
Sources said Dr Asim supplied small quantity of gas to the industries in the name of gas load shedding against the government policy as a result the government provided a subsidy of Rs450 billion.
Besides other charges framed by NAB, he is accused of taking kickbacks, money laundering, misuse of trust land and land grabbing.
The reference would be filed in the court following approval of the NAB chairman.Dr Asim is on physical remand in NAB till Feb 09.
