KARACHI: Four employees of Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) who went missing during protest demonstration on February 02, have been found here Monday.
Sources said unidentified men left the PIA employees at Nagan Chowrangi late on Sunday night.
PIA workers Hidayatullah, Mansoor, Zameer Chandio and Saifullah had gone missing on Feb 02. The Action Committee of the national flag carrier had given ultimatum to the government for the recovery of the missing employees till afternoon today (Monday) and threatened to march at Jinnah Terminal if the employees were not found.
Police said all the four men have been sent to their homes while police was searching for the abductors.
Partial resumption of flight operations of national began after five days on Sunday when two Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) flights with 725 Umrah pilgrims arrived here from Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
PIA workers had been protesting for more than two weeks against the proposed privatization of the airline.
Meanwhile, PIA spokesman has claimed that the flight operations are fast returning to normalcy with the return of employees from strike.
He said 18 flights of the national flag carrier have reached their destinations since the resumption of flight operation.
The spokesperson went on to say the employees of PIA's head office Karachi have called off their strike and resumed duty.
