KARACHI: Pakistan Airline Pilots Association (PALPA) has announced that it is unable to resume operations in current circumstances.
In a statement issued here, PALPA stated that the Association supports the stance of the Pakistan International Airline (PIA) employees against the proposed privatization of the national flag carrier.
It called upon the government of Pakistan to figure out a solution to the issue at the earliest so that flight operations may be resumed.
PALPA condemned what it called a threat issued to its president and demanded an apology.
It said that its executive committee is united on all issues.
Earlier, talking to Geo News, PALPA president Amir Hashmi, however, expressed conditional readiness to resume operations, saying the pilots be provided security.
He said even if less than fifty percent of the employees decide to end the strike, the association will be able to resume the flight operations.
