PIA workers’ strike continues, flight schedule affected
The protest against the reported privatization of the PIA continues and the flight schedule in various cities has been cancelled due to which private airlines are selling tickets on higher rates.
KARACHI: The protest by the workers of the Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) still continues due to which several flights were cancelled today also whereas schedule of other flights was also affected.

The PIA workers in Faisalabad stopped their work on the ninth day while the ten flights scheduled for today from Multan airport have been cancelled due to strike.
The flights from Karahci to Bahawalpur and from Bahawalpur to Karachi could not take place according to schedule. The PIA offices in Rahimyar Khan were also closed due to which schedule of all flights remained suspended in the city. The flights from Sukkur to Islamabad and from Karahci to Sukkur are also cancelled due to which passengers face difficulties.
Two Iskardu-Islamabad flights of the PIA have been cancelled while Gilgit-Islamabad flight has also been cancelled. Chitral-Islamabad flight is still remained cancelled.
