Law and order situation improved in Pakistan: PM
He said today’s Pakistan is fast heading towards a promising and prosperous future as the government has successfully addressed the challenges of terrorism, energy shortages and economic revival.
DAVOS: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has stated that development and prosperity is directly linked to law and order situation in the country.
Addressing the traders in Davos here Friday, PM Nawaz said, “Law and order situation has improved in Pakistan as a result of steps taken against terrorism and extremism.”
The Premier said Pakistan wanted to improve bilateral cooperation with India and durable peace in Afghanistan.
He said today’s Pakistan is fast heading towards a promising and prosperous future as the government has successfully addressed the challenges of terrorism, energy shortages and economic revival.
PM Nawaz said Pakistan is the sixth largest country in terms of population and tenth in terms of manpower.
He said Pakistan has paid heavy price in the fight against terrorism in term of loss of life and property.
PM Nawaz said that due to success in military operation Zarb-e-Azb the terrorists are now on the run and are striking soft targets.
He also held a breakfast with traders and businessmen.
The Prime Minister apprised the entrepreneurs about the business and investment friendly policies of the government.
