KARACHI: Sindh Advisor for Information, Moula Bakhsh Chandio on Tuesday said ten more Anti Terrorism Courts courts will start to function in Sindh in a matter of few weeks while safe houses will be established for witnesses’ protection.
Addressing a press conference here, the Information Advisor mistakenly said ten 'military courts' instead of 'Anti Terrorism Courts' will begin to function in Sindh in the next few weeks.
He said so far 25 cases have been referred to the military courts including that of Khalid Mehmood Soomro’s murder.
However, he said there is a court’s stay on Khalid Mehmood’s case and efforts are being made for its withdrawal.
He said a force is also being raised for the protection of witnesses.
Chandio said approval has been solicited for formation of committees on district level to create religious harmony.
