ISLAMABAD: The initial findings of the investigation being conducted by Pakistan into India’s Pathankot airbase attack, disclose that the phone numbers provided by India were unregistered, sources told Geo News on Monday.
According to sources, Pakistan has dispatched the initial findings to New Delhi and a response is expected from Indian authorities today.
Following the Pathankot armed attack, India had sent phone numbers and audio intercepts to Pakistan with a claim that the attackers had spoken to one another using these numbers.
India had also claimed that the perpetrators were affiliated to banned outfit Jaish-e-Mohamamd.
Pakistan’s investigation agencies are probing further into the Pathankot attack.
Six armed attackers had stormed the India’s Pathankot airbase on January 2, killing seven soldiers. Later, Indian authorities confirmed killing all the six attackers. The airbase was later cleared of all threats following a detailed search operation.
