Hina Rabbani says Pakistan’s defence minister is most ineffective
In an interview to a foreign TV channel Hina Rabbani did not sound very formal and she said that Pakistan’s defence minister is usually a person who mostly remains idle.

KARACHI: Former foreign minister, Hina Rabbani Khar has said that Pakistan’s defence minister is the most ineffective member of cabinet who knows nothing about the matters pertaining to defence.
In an interview to a foreign TV channel Hina Rabbani did not sound very formal and she said that Pakistan’s defence minister is the most idle person.
On the subject of the US Navy Seals operation that killed al-Qaeda leader, Osama Bin Laden, Hina Rabbani Khar said the then defence minister had no prior knowledge of this operation.
She said Chaudhry Mukhtar, who was the defence minister at the time, was not even present in the room in which the operation was discussed.
Khar said the news of US Navy Seals’ operation had stunned Pakistani officials.
