Governor Sindh directs DG Rangers, IG Sindh to arrest Sabri's killers
KARACHI: Governor Sindh Dr Ishratul Ibad has directed D.G. Rangers and I.G. Sindh to arrest the killers of slain singer Amjad Sabri on Wednesday.
According to details, the Governor of Sindh directed both persons to arrest the killers of Amjad Sabri via a telephone call. Governor Ishratul Ibad Khan said that the killing of Amjad Sabri was a conspiracy to destroy the peace of the city.
"A handful of people want to destroy the peace of the city," he said.
The Governor further said that police and rangers had maintained peace in the city by giving immense sacrifices. He also said that the government will, with the held and support of the people, not let these conspirators succeed.
Amjad Sabri was shot to death in Karachi's Liaquatabad area on Wednesday. Amjad Sabri was one of the most renowned qawwals of Pakistan and was also the son of Fareed Sabri and nephew of Maqbool Sabri.
His murder drew condemnations from across the country.
