RAWALPINDI: Minister of National Defence of Turkey, Mr Fikri Isik called on Pakistan army chief General Raheel Sharif at the General Headquarters (GHQ) on Friday.
According to a statement issued by the ISPR, the Turkish minister was all praises for Pakistan's sacrifices in operation Zarb-e-Azb.
"During the meeting, matters of mutual interest including regional security and defence collaboration came under discussion. Turkish Defence Minister appreciated Pakistan Army’s accomplishments in Op ZeA and contributions towards regional peace and stability," read a post on the ISPR's website.
A couple of days ago, General Raheel Sharif had met United States Ambassador to Pakistan David Hale and conveyed his concerns over the recent American drone strike that killed former Taliban chief Mullah Akhtar Mansour.
