LONDON: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Monday thanked Pakistanis for the wishes and prayers they extended for his early recovery from a open heart surgery that is to be performed on Tuesday.
He was talking to media outside the Pakistan High Commission where he arrived to chair meetings of National Economic of Council and his cabinet through video link. The premier was accompanied by his younger brother and Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif.
The prime minister assured the nation that every thing will go well with regard to annual budget.
The meeting was attended by four chief ministers of the federating units and chief minister and governor of Gilgit Baltistan and others.
The NEC meeting considered the proposed Annual Development Plan (ADP) and the Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP) and is said to have approved Rs1675 billion development budget for the fiscal year 2016-2017.
