ISLAMABAD: Arrest warrants for Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz's MNA Sheikh Rohail Asghar were issued for failing to appear at court.
According to details, arrest warrants were issued for Sheikh Rohail Asghar and his suspected accomplice Zulfiqar for not presenting themselves before the court on Monday. The court had set the date today to indict the suspects and when the accused failed to show up, the court issued their arrest warrants.
In the previous session, the court had accepted Sheikh Rohail Asghar's bail against Rs. 200,000. Rohail's lawyer requested the court for some time since his client had to withdraw cash from the bank for his bail.
Sheikh Rohail Asghar hasn't even deposited his bail in the form of surety bonds. After issuing his arrest warrants, the court postponed court proceedings for an indefinite period.
Sheikh Rohail Asghar has been accused of murdering a security guard in Islamabad. The case has been registered against Asghar by the widow of the security guard, who claimed that her husband had been hit by the vehicle that Rohail Asghar was driving.
