ISLAMABAD: The federal cabinet will accept the federal budget tomorrow in an important meeting, which will be presided over Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif via video link.
As per details, a meeting of the federal cabinet members tomorrow will accept the budget for the next fiscal year and it is for the very first time that a Prime Minister will preside over the meeting via video link. Arrangements are being made for Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to take part in the meeting via video link.
According to sources, the budget for the next fiscal year will be a total of Rs 5000 billion. After the meeting, the Prime Minister will sign four legal drafts which would be sent to Pakistan in closed envelopes.
Rs 800 billion have been suggested to be allocated to the PSDP whereas the defence budget is being increased from Rs 700 billion to Rs 860 billion. Meanwhile, Rs 3600 have been allocated for running expenses.
Pakistani Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif is in London since he will be undergoing an open heart surgery on Tuesday morning.
