LONDON: Former Pakistani President and PPP leader Asif Ali Zardari stated that there was no truth to reports that reconciliation has been reached over the issue of Panama leaks.

According to details, Asif Ali Zardari said that he had not met JUI-F chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman in London. Speaking on the issue of the Panama Papers' leaks, the PPP leader said that the issue of Panama leaks would be brought to its logical end.

"We will raise the issue of Panama leaks on every forum and it will reach its logical end," he said.

He also said that a parliamentary committee had already been formed on the issue of the Panama Papers' leaks which was formulating ToRs and investigating the issue.

Peoples Party has taken its decision on Panama leaks after due consideration, said Zardari. He also said that there was no chance that investigation regarding the Panama Papers would be neglected.

He said the PPP had held consultations over the matter of Panama leaks among its own party members as well as with other political parties.

Earlier, there were reports that Maulana Fazlur Rehman had advised Asif Zardari to meet with PM Nawaz Sharif in London and resolve all controversial issues. However, Fazlur Rehman and Zardari have both denied meeting each other.

Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif is in London for medical reasons. The Pakistani Premier will have an open heart surgery on Tuesday morning.
