ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister House Saturday said PM Nawaz Sharif is overseeing day to day affairs of the state from London as he is duly assisted by his Principal Secretary, Military Secretary and other staff members.
The Prime Minister is kept abreast on routine matters of the country and his directions are accordingly conveyed to the concerned quarters, PM house said.
It is said that PM Sharif is in constant contact with the Federal Ministers, Cabinet members and other concerned. It is important to note that there are no postponements or delays in the matters pertaining to the routine functioning of the state.
Spokesman of PM house said after the Prime Minister undergoes surgery in the coming days he would be instantly discharging responsibilities as the Chief Executive of the country.
It is however natural and understandable that the Prime Minister will be off from any activities when he is actually operated on by the doctors. God willing soon after the surgery the Prime Minister will be supervising State s affairs with the same spirit and energy, the spokesman added.
Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif will undergo heart surgery in London on Tuesday as advised by the doctors. The Prime Minister will be travelling back to Pakistan on the advice of the doctors after the surgery.
The spokesman of PM house said that all the present and previous expenditures incurred on the Prime Minister's treatment, investigations/medical tests and lodging in UK are borne by the family of the PM from their personal kitty. No expenses are claimed from the national exchequer, the spokesman concluded.
