RAWALPINDI: Pakistan's Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif met with the chief of Czech Republic's armed forces General Josef Becvar at the General Headquarters on Tuesday.
"During the meeting, matters of mutual interest including regional security situation and measures to enhance defence cooperation between both the countries were discussed," read a post on the ISPR's official website.
General Josef Becvar was all praises for the way Pakistan's armed forces conducted Operation Zarb-e-Azb. The Czech Republic army chief also praised Pakistan's armed forces' efforts to maintain peace and stability in the region.
According to the ISPR's website, upon his arrival, the Czech Republic army chief also laid a floral wreath at the Yadgar-e-Shuhuda after being accorded a warm welcome and receiving the Guard of Honour by a Pakistan army contingent.
