SUKKUR: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has stated that terrorists and the elements creating agitation are pursuing the same agenda.

Addressing the groundbreaking ceremony of 393 kilometers Sukkur-Multan Motorway, Nawaz Sharif said, “terrorists and agitators are pursuing the agenda to hinder progress and prosperity of Pakistan. There is not difference between them.”

PM Nawaz said the government would have completed several development projects much earlier had the rivals not adopted politics of sit-ins.

China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) was delayed due to the sit-in politics, Nawaz said.

“The nation rejects the agenda of those who wanted to drag Pakistan into darkness,” the Premier said and reiterated his resolve to end load shedding during his tenure.

PM Nawaz Sharif mentioned opposition leader in the National Assembly Syed Khursheed Shah in his address, saying “I am missing you Khursheed Shah sahib. I am inaugurating bridge and motorway in your area and you are demanding my resignation.” “I still consider you my friend.”

He said the Opposition Leader must understand the agenda and should not side with those who were against country’s progress and development.

Meanwhile, Khursheed Shah thanked the PM for remembering him in his speech and said the Premier should have invited him in the ceremony.

“It will be more pleasure for me if the PM has invited for the inaugural ceremony,” he said.

Shah went on to say that he has always played positive opposition. Someone has misguided PM Nawaz, he said and added that opposition, in its terms of references (ToRs) for inquiry commission, had not demanded resignation of the Prime Minister.
