KARACHI: Director General (DG) National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Karachi Lt. Col (r) Siraj-ul-Naeem has said that NAB is committed to eradicate corruption by adopting zero tolerance policy across under the leadership of Chairman Qamar Zaman Chaudhry.
He was addressing Anti-Corruption Seminar for Executing and Implementing agencies. It
The seminar was organized by Asian Development bank (ADB) at a local hotel here on Thursday.
In his address during ‘Say No to Corruption’ session, he said that NAB is determined to eradicate corruption through awareness, prevention and enforcement initiatives.
He said NAB Karachi is taking preventive measures through formation of prevention committees.
He informed that Rs.5,046 million were recovered by NAB from HESCO defaulters till April 21.
DG NAB Karachi further stated that after the appointment of Chaudhry Qamar Zaman as a chairman, the organization have become more efficient because of his efforts.
Fresh SOPs were formulated having strict timelines to process any case.
This initiative made NAB one of the most efficacious and productive Anti-Corruption Agencies, both nationally and internationally, he said.
Siraj said that NAB Karachi is utilizing all its resources to make corrupts accountable.
